NewGov.US is a free public utility for American voters to develop their policy preferences at the federal, state and local levels, and then form blocs of “SuperVoters” to convince politicians to adopt their policies.
- Why do we need NewGov.US?
- Political Insiders love the unworkable procedures that politicians, lobbyists and parties have built to keep voters out of their multi-billion dollar Policy Development Industry. One expert said: "The game is rigged so you need your own dairy herd to get milk for your cereal."
- What does NewGov.US offer?
- A series of small, easy steps. But these small steps add up to a public force that develops smarter policies when enough NewGov voter-members publish their policy preferences known in numbers that are consequential to their politician’s careers.
- NewGov voter-members are called SuperVoters when they use Google and official maps to prove which politicians they can vote for - and against.
- NewGov.US takes politics out of government and puts the policy back in (well, unless politicians don’t cooperate).
- NewGov.US also helps constituents collaborate in their own environment without the inconvenience and expense of politics or politicians.
- NewGov.US is launching with more than 1,000 fully-equipped social networks.
- Each acts as a Policy Development Group for its geographical area or issue. They are:
- 50: One for each state.
- 100: One for each of the 100 Senate seats
- 435: One for each of the 435 Congressional seats
- 535: One for each politician in those 535 Senate and House seats
- 50+: for each of the most prominent national issues
- Plus: as many issue groups as SuperVoters (like you) want to add.
- What’s a SuperVoter and why would I want to be one?
- You qualify as a SuperVoter when you process a small credit card charge through Google Checkout. Then the NewGov robot (not us) matches your verified billing address to a politician’s jurisdiction. This is a Big Deal: NewGov.US is the first online service to prove to your politicians that you’re a real person with voting power over them.
- What’s the cost?
- A minimum charge of $5 dollars. More if you want to get your politician’s attention and also to help the NewGov movement.
- How many SuperVoters does it take to affect a politician’s actions?
- A surprisingly small number, since so few people vote, especially in Primary elections. For example, 500 SuperVoters in a Congressional District absolutely gets their representative’s attention.
- If you are an activist organization or individual withan issue you want to promote, what can NewGov do for you?
- It publicizes your issue and/or organization in a national forum.
- It gives you social media capabilities that most organizations only dream of building someday.
- It gives you purpose-built tools to lobby politicians who serve on the committees that oversee your issue.
